Academics Educational Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with a hearing impairment in a welcoming SEND school in Halifax.

This rewarding role is ideal for a patient, positive, and caring individual who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with a hearing impairment

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities

• Support the pupil with academic work and classroom participation

• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interaction

• Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be kind, nurturing, and positive in their approach

• Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)

• Be patient, supportive, and committed to inclusive education

• Have strong communication and teamwork skills

• Be available to start after the Easter break
