We are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing pest control business, which are now looking to bring on board a Trainee Pest Control Technician to join their team in Basildon.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is reliable, hardworking and ready to start a long-term career in a specialised sector. You don't need prior pest control experience - full training will be provided, and you will be supported every step of the way as you work towards becoming fully accredited with the RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management.

What the role involves:

As a Trainee Pest Control Technician, no two days will look the same. You'll be out on the road, visiting customer sites, and helping to resolve a wide range of pest issues. The role combines practical, hands-on work with customer service, so you'll need to be comfortable engaging with people and explaining solutions clearly.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Attending client sites across the local area to identify and deal with pest issues

• Learning how to use equipment and products safely and effectively

• Providing excellent customer service and advice on prevention measures

• Working independently to complete jobs to a high standard

• Keeping accurate records of visits and treatments

• Maintaining a professional and responsible approach at all times

What we're looking for:

• Age 25+ (insurance requirement)

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

• Excellent work ethic - reliable, punctual and committed

• A willingness to learn and apply new skills

• Comfortable working on your own initiative once trained

• Good communication skills and a professional approach
