The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored academic and emotional support to a pupil in Year 4. You will help keep them engaged, motivated, and progressing in a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver one-to-one support as a Learning Support Assistant for a Year 4 pupil with additional learning needs

Adapt learning activities and materials to meet the pupil's individual needs

Encourage participation, build confidence, and track progress

Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent support

Support the child's social development and independence

Maintain accurate records and communicate any issues or progress clearly

Be a consistent and reliable presence in the pupil's day-to-day learning

Requirements:

Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role

A calm, patient, and encouraging attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to inclusive and child-centred education

Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
