A welcoming specialist school in HP10 is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

About the School

The school provides specialist education for pupils with Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), communication challenges, and complex sensory or medical needs. Each child follows an individualised programme of learning, with high levels of support from teachers, therapists, and teaching assistants.

The Role

As a SEN TA, you will:

Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to meet EHCP outcomes

*

Assist with communication strategies, such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC systems

*

Help deliver sensory activities, structured routines, and personalised learning tasks

*

Support independence, social communication, and positive behaviour

*

Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

*

Provide personal care or mobility support where required

*

Create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment

About You

*

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (ASC, MLD/SLD, sensory or medical needs)

*

Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach

*

Strong teamwork and communication skills

*

Committed to supporting vulnerable learners and promoting independence

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
