Acorn by Synergie are looking to recruit Kitchen Assistants for the Magor area. Working Monday to Friday from 8am to 2.30pm daily. Must have previous catering/kitchen experience and completed Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities -

Cleaning utensils, food preparation equipment, other tools, and kitchen floors
Prepping ingredients for dishes
Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
Cooking ingredients according to directions received from chef
Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed
Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
Ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Minimum level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
Able to understand and communicate in English at a working level (spoken and written)
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Able to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment
Flexible and willing to support other roles or duties as needed
