Class 1 Casual Driver

About the Role

As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will:

• Ensure the safe and efficient unloading of vehicles, typically involving multiple deliveries per day, while handling goods with care and attention to detail.
• Manually unload caged goods into customer premises, following proper handling procedures. Full training will be provided to ensure safety and compliance.
• Transport goods to various depots across the Southwest, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery timelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging courteously and professionally with clients at delivery locations, representing the company in a positive manner.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with the transport team, providing real-time updates to facilitate smooth operations and manage customer expectations effectively.
• Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to stay up to date with operational procedures, safety protocols, and industry best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
