We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Manchester on a part-time basis, specifically for weekend work. This role involves supporting the emotional and physical well-being of both children and adults within their own homes and in community settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and a deep understanding of safeguarding protocols.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide attentive care, addressing both physical and emotional needs in the home environment and during outings into the community for both children and adults.
  • Follow detailed care plans tailored to each individual's specific needs, including requirements for personal care and community activities.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for individuals both at home and during community outings.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the conditions of individuals to relevant professionals.
  • Ensure all interactions and activities are conducted in a respectful and professional manner, adhering to all safeguarding protocols.
  • Travel to homes and accompany individuals to various community locations, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
  • Weekend availability is essential for this role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months care-related experience in the UK.
  • Strong awareness of safeguarding issues and protocols, especially related to vulnerable groups including children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both children, adults, and their support networks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service. Support available for new DBS applications.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Suitability to work with various groups in a care setting, including providing personal care and support.
