The Reunification Team is an exciting new service, created as part of the Looked After Children strategy which aims to support and improve outcomes for the children in our care.

The aim of the service is to support children returning to the care of their families to ensure a high-quality service to minimise children returning to care and minimise the amount of time children live separately from their family.

The Parenting Assessment Team not only undertake parenting assessments for families within the PLO and care proceedings but provide intensive support to families during the assessment process, putting children and families at the heart of the assessment process and ensuring that assessments are robust, and child focused.

The focus of the team is to work creatively and where safe and possible to enable families to create sustainable change.
