Pay: £89.38 per day (paid weekly)

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker passionate about supporting young children in a Welsh-medium primary school? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to work full-time in a Year 2 class in a warm and welcoming school in Leckwith (CF11).

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the classroom while promoting the Welsh language and culture within early years and Key Stage 1 education.

‍ About the Role:

As a Year 2 TA in a Welsh-medium setting, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based, and curriculum-aligned learning experiences. You'll support pupils with day-to-day tasks, group activities, and one-to-one interventions - all through the medium of Welsh.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

Supporting Welsh-language teaching and learning across the curriculum
Assisting with small group work and 1:1 support, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and phonics
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in line with school values
Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain a stimulating learning environment
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) if required
Promoting learning through play, outdoor activities, and creative tasks
Maintaining a safe, caring and inclusive classroom atmosphere
We're Looking For Someone Who:

Is fluent in Welsh (spoken and written) - essential
Has experience working with children in a primary or early years setting (school or childcare)
Is confident supporting learners in a Welsh-medium environment
Is enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about education
Holds a current DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
Can commit to full-time, term-time work (Monday to Friday)
