EAA (Exams Access Arrangements) Assessor – Temp – 16 hours pw – Broxbourne

Hours: 16 hours per week (9am–5pm, days to be agreed)
Duration: ASAP start to June 2026, then September 2026 – June 2027

Role & Responsibilities
Herts Resourcing Group are recruiting on behalf of HRC for a temporary EAA Assessor to support learners in accessing fair and evidence-based exam arrangements.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct specialist assessments in line with JCQ regulations
- Identify students who may need Exam Access Arrangements through referrals, screening, and teacher feedback
- Collect and evaluate evidence including history of need, normal way of working, teacher observations, assessment results, and student interviews
- Complete Form 8 documentation and submit applications via the AAO portal
- Recommend appropriate arrangements such as extra time, reader, scribe, rest breaks, or word processor
- Collaborate with curriculum teams, exams officers, and learning support staff to embed adjustments
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and stay up to date with JCQ requirements
- Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and GDPR standards

About You
We are looking for a highly organised, knowledgeable specialist assessor with:
- Level 7 SASC-recognised assessor qualification (e.g., PGCert SpLD, ATS/AMBDA, or equivalent)
- Up-to-date knowledge of JCQ regulations and evidence of ongoing CPD
- Experience conducting assessments for Exam Access Arrangements
- Experience working with students aged 14+ and/or in Further Education
- Strong understanding of SpLDs and other SEND profiles
- Excellent record-keeping, communication, and ICT skills (including AAO systems)
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
- A professional, flexible, and student-focused approach
