Are you a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Worthing this September. This full-time, long-term role focuses on working with pupils with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

About the Role:
As a SEN TA, you'll provide individual and small-group support, build strong relationships, and help pupils develop the confidence and skills they need to engage in learning. The right person will be caring, consistent, and comfortable adapting their approach to meet a variety of emotional and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with Autism and SEMH needs throughout the school day.
Provide consistent 1:1 or small-group support to encourage engagement and independence.
Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interaction.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff.
Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism or SEMH.
A calm, flexible, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A current CV covering the last 10 years (with explanations for any gaps).
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
