About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join the team at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice in Cheltenham. This ongoing locum opportunity offers competitive hourly rates ranging from £20.00 on weekdays to £25.00 on bank holidays, alongside flexible shift patterns.
Working within a specialist inpatient hospice setting, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality palliative and end-of-life care, supporting patients and their families with dignity, empathy and clinical excellence.

Previous inpatient hospice experience is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care & Symptom Management
Deliver high-quality nursing care within the hospice inpatient unit
Administer medication and manage complex symptoms in line with care plans
Monitor and assess patients' health conditions, adjusting care as required
Care Planning & MDT Collaboration
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop personalised care plans
Contribute to clinical discussions and ensure coordinated, patient-centred care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Patient & Family Support
Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
Promote dignity, comfort and respect throughout the care journey
Support families during end-of-life care and bereavement processes
RequirementsValid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
Previous experience in palliative care or inpatient hospice settings (preferred)
Strong clinical assessment and symptom management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
