Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of our client. You will be required to perform all planned and reactive servicing and maintenance of cremation, incineration and ancillary equipment. Based from home, you will be disciplined in taking a flexible approach to working hours in order to meet business requirements thus maintaining the highest standard of client satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To undertake the servicing and maintenance of cremation, incineration and ancillary equipment on client sites.
Carry out inspections, making reports and recommendations as necessary.
Record and maintain existing servicing records as required.
Ensure all safety procedures and business standards/regulations are followed and upheld at all times without exception.
Work with your departmental manager and team members to identify, implement and drive actions for continuous improvement.
Promote teamwork and cooperation at all levels.
Communicate clearly and concisely with team members, internal departments and customers with regard to work instructions and requirements.
Be flexible with regard to work duties/tasks in accordance with the requirements of the business.
Skills and Qualifications:

Mechanical engineer with some electrical experience. Apprentice trained NVQ level 3 as a minimum.
Experience of working as a Service Engineer or within a mechanical engineering/manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage.
Basic knowledge of PLC's - interpret ladder logic, not essential
Ability to fabricate/weld (not essential)
Ability to problem solve effectively.
Ability to work effectively either alone or as part of a team with minimum or no supervision.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Able to travel and work away from home for defined periods of time to meet business requirements.
Work extended hours to meet business requirements.
Work a reasonable amount of overtime (weekend work) with advance notice.
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 per annum + Company Vehicle
