Estimator

Our client based in the Great Dunmow area are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their busy metal fabrication business on a permanent basis.

Estimator - The Role
You will be responsible for assisting the Preconstruction Director in the completion and return of tenders, send out enquiries for materials and sub-contract items. You will also receive and evaluate prices for materials and sub-contractors and build up the price using an estimating system or an Excel spreadsheet.

Estimator - Duties
• Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to raise an accurate quote which is clearly communicated to the client in a timely manner
• Preparation of detailed and complex estimates for projects calculating costs considering labour, materials, and deadline requirements
• Produce a quotation that reflects the client requirements
• Prepare and complete documentation for tendered projects
• Reporting of quotation status post tender
• Attend pretender, mid tender, and post tender meetings with clients' representatives, on site or at their offices

Estimator - Skills Required
• Experience in a similar role in a similar industry would be viewed favourably
• Experience with the complete Microsoft Office suite of products
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written

Estimator - What's on Offer?
• 40 hour week
• 07:30 to 16:00 - 30 minute unpaid lunch break
•£35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
