We are seeking a committed and experienced Registered Manager to lead two Children's Homes in Birmingham, supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead from the front across a dual-home setup, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and therapeutic care. We welcome applications from experienced Registered Managers or confident Deputies looking to step up with support.
?? Key Responsibilities Dual Home Leadership

Oversee the day-to-day operations of two EBD children's homes.

Lead, mentor, and support both staff teams to deliver a consistent, child-centred approach.

Ensure both homes meet and exceed Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations.
Care & Support Delivery

Develop and manage individualised care plans tailored to each young person's emotional and developmental needs.

Promote a safe, nurturing environment that encourages emotional regulation and life skills.
Safeguarding & Compliance

Take overall responsibility for safeguarding across both homes.

Maintain robust quality assurance practices, including audits and incident reviews.
Staff Development & Culture

Recruit, train, and support staff to ensure a trauma-informed and positive working culture.

Foster a safe, respectful, and development-focused environment for all team members.
Multi-Agency Working

Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.

Represent both homes in meetings, reviews, and inspections.
Operational Management

Oversee staffing rotas, budgets, resources, and overall home administration.

Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
? Requirements -
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years in a senior role within children's residential care.

Strong experience working with children with EBD/challenging behaviours.

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation and Ofsted expectations.

Confident leadership, resilience, and decision-making ability.

Full UK driving licence preferred.
