What to ExpectOur client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Vehicle Concepts Engineer to join the Whole Vehicle Concepts team within VAVE Off‑Cycle Projects.
In this role, you will support the creation of early‑phase CAD schemes for future vehicle programmes, contributing to the development of both upper body and underbody package layouts. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will ensure that early concept layouts meet the necessary Engineering, Manufacturing, and Creative requirements during the Concept phase (pre‑CS to KO).
You will collaborate closely with multiple cross‑functional teams, including:
- Vehicle Architectures & Engineering
- Body & Chassis Concepts
- Design Studio
- Human Factors
- Body Structural Integration
- Advanced Powertrain

Essential Skills & ExperienceCAD & Technical Capability- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD creation and visualisation, ideally with hands‑on experience in CATIA V6 or a comparable 3D modelling tool.
- Ability to support the creation and development of whole‑vehicle concept layouts, with extensive CAD involvement.
Vehicle Packaging KnowledgeUnderstanding of core vehicle packaging principles in at least one of the following areas, and experience working within at least one UN or UP Zone:
Upper Body Packaging:
- Occupant positioning
- IP/console layout
- Steering column and pedals
- Ingress/egress
- Visibility
- Luggage/trunk usability
Underbody Packaging:
- Ground lines and attitude planes
- Clearances
- Approach/departure angles
- Axle locations
- Tyre envelopes
- Basic powertrain motion envelopes
Behaviours & Working Style- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to take ownership of tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
