New Directions Community Outreach Services is seeking a full time Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP Adult or Child) in the Richmond, VA catchment areas to provide Intensive In-Home services to at-risk youth or Mental Health Skill Building Services to adults with mental health issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for completing daily progress notes
Prepares written Individualized Service Plan, incorporating input from clients, involved service providers, and wraparound team members, and clearly identifying problem areas and needs, strategies, and service.
Provides parent education and support.
Models and teaches problem-solving techniques.
Provides a variety of interventions in client’s home and community as appropriate and necessary. These interventions may be behavioral, social and recreational, as needed.
Provides linkage to community-based services and supports; provides advocacy and support for family with these services.
Be available to respond for client crisis or clinical emergencies.
Must possess at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, etc.) and 1 or more years of experience with the assigned population.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have reliable transportation and proof of Auto Insurance.
