Our client, a leader in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on a range of traffic engineering projects, contributing to the development and implementation of transportation solutions within the network of highways.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing traffic management schemes
Conducting traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies
Designing and reviewing traffic control devices, including traffic signals and signage
Analysing traffic flow data to identify and resolve traffic issues
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
Preparing technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
Overseeing and managing project timelines, ensuring efficient delivery
Ensuring all traffic engineering works comply with relevant regulations and standards

Job Requirements:

Experience in traffic engineering within the highways sector
Strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices
Proficiency in using traffic analysis software
Ability to conduct and interpret traffic impact assessments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong project management abilities
Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
