My client, a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy based in the City of London, is currently seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This opportunity has arisen following a major project win involving a landmark development of 900 residential units and commercial space in London.

The Role

As an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design and delivery of high-profile projects, starting with a major London development from Stage E. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll be expected to contribute technically while also managing teams and representing the business externally.

Key Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and coordination on large-scale developments

Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and project teams

Conduct design reviews and ensure technical quality

Manage internal and external meetings and represent the company professionally

Support fee proposals and future bids

Mentor and guide junior engineers

Solve complex design challenges and drive project success

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in mechanical building services design

Strong leadership and client-facing skills

Ability to manage teams and deliver projects from concept to completion

Experience with large residential and commercial developments

A proactive, hands-on approach to design and problem-solving

Excellent communication and presentation skills
