Electrical Maintenance Engineer - 1+ Years Experience Required - Northampton Permanent Role.

Salary: £40,000 - £49,000pa

Weekly rotating shifts:

06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

Silver Arrow require an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work for a heavy manufacturing company supplying engineered products into the power generation and industrial sectors based in the Northampton area.

Supporting production output and improving plant reliability.

Your Role:

• Carry out routine inspections and planned electrical servicing on site machinery.
• Identify and resolve faults across electrical systems including motors, drives, sensors, panels, switches and isolations.
• Quickly diagnose electrical faults during breakdowns and ensure equipment is safely reinstated.
• Provide assistance with PLC fault‑finding and I/O verification (no programming tasks involved).
• Help deliver electrical installation tasks, equipment upgrade activities and reliability improvements.
• Accurately complete maintenance records and support site safety and compliance standards.
• Carry out tasks involving inverters, relays, contactors and industrial grade electrical systems.

What we need from you:

• Proven background in electrical maintenance within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Confident in fault finding and diagnosing faults on plant and production equipment.
• Handle breakdowns and downtime with a steady, practical mindset.
• Clear, confident communication skills paired with a supportive team attitude.
• Confident working in a practical, fast paced setting.

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds Electrical qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition desirable but not essential
