Purpose of the role

As a skilled and dynamic Design Technician you will .bridge the design intent with the manufacturability and execution of the solution. As a level 1 Design Technician you will perform entry level CAD and basic detailing tasks.

Key Duties Design & Detailing

* Complete basic CAD tasks and modifications to existing designs

* Understand manufacturing constraints and assist with determining manufacturing feasibility Management & Coordination

* Manage your assigned workload with multiple projects running concurrently

* Liaise with structural and design engineers to ensure the information produced represents engineering design and intent.

* Participate in design reviews, site meetings, and technical discussions to gain experience

* Provide support to sales and estimation roles

Technical Documentation & Reporting

* Produce general arrangement drawings, section details, and connection designs.

* Utilize AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, TEDDS, and Microsoft 365 for task execution (or equivalents of these packages).

* Contribute to standardization efforts

* Diploma in related subject such as design, engineering, manufacturing, etc. Experience & Technical Expertise

* Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks

* Understanding of design, engineering and manufacturing processes
