Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively partnering with our longstanding client in Darlington who are looking to appoint a permanent Mechanical Technician.

This role is a day shift position, 8am-4pm Monday to Friday with overtime available. This is an excellent opportunity to grow, learn and develop in a role with excellent training opportunities available.

You will be responsible for the assembly, testing, delivery, commissioning, installation and repair of subsea sector projects. This role is workshop-based, with occasional opportunities to work onsite at client facilities or onboard vessels.

Job Description

* Assist with the assembly of complex structural assemblies to technical drawings

* Provide technical assurance for customers which may involve the occasional site visit of both national and international customers

* Assist with the fault-finding and detailed service reporting

* Maintenance of Workshop Equipment, Tools and Environment

Skills Required

* Ideally HNC qualfiied

* Machining skills, lathe turning, milling, electrical hand tools

* Hydraulic fitting skills

* Valid driving license

* Willingness to travel (UK & overseas)
