RG Consultancy are working with an established institution who are looking for an Assistant Accountant in Bolton. They are looking for someone who enjoys a fast paced yet rewarding environment. This role will consist of working closely with the financial accountant and assisting them in the management of finances.

Assistant Accountant

Skills and attributes:

* Strong leadership skills

* Pro-active approach

* Strong accounting software knowledge

* Experience of implementing new software

* Qualified by experience or CIMA/ACCA qualified

* Minimum 2 years' experience within finance.

Duties include:

* Maintenance of ledger systems

* Annual reports and financial statements for audit and publication

* Complying with appropriate SORPs and accounting standards

* Overseeing the management of group general ledger systems and ensuring that budgets and financial data are correctly recorded

* The preparation of financial and management accounts

* Preparing budgets and forecasts

* Management and control of direct and indirect taxation

* Preparation of other ad-hoc information on an accurate and consistent basis
