Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative - Cheshire Region
Area Covered: Ellesmere Port, Chester and nearby communities
Hours: 40 per week, permanent contract
Earnings: £34,600+ basic with performance-related uplift
A long-established housing maintenance provider is expanding its adaptations team and is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative with strong practical experience across plumbing and carpentry disciplines. The role focuses on improving occupied homes through repair, refurbishment and specialist adaptation works.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Working within residential properties, you will undertake a varied workload including:
- Installing complete bathroom and shower facilities
- Plumbing works from rough-in through to final connection
- Heating radiator changes with system refill
- Internal building repairs such as flooring, stud walls, stair components and ceiling sections
- Carpentry including doors, skirtings, pipe enclosures and safety rails
- Surface repairs including patch plastering
- Tiling and decorative finishing
Ideal Background
We're looking for someone who brings:
• A recognised trade qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
• Practical experience across multi-skilled maintenance or refurbishment
• Strong plumbing or joinery core trade
• Previous adaptation or accessible bathroom projects (advantageous)
• Confidence working in lived-in homes
• Full driving licence
Desirable but not essential: CSCS, asbestos awareness, own hand tools.
