As a CNC Turning Machinist, you will be responsible for operating Heidenhain-controlled turning machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications. You will ensure all work meets required standards in safety, quality, and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Creating, downloading, and editing CNC programs with Fanuc controls
• Setting and operating CNC Turner machines
• Using measuring equipment to inspect and record all relevant dimensions
• Completing documentation and recording labour bookings accurately
• Performing basic machine maintenance
• Supporting and training team members when required
• Taking part in 5S and continuous improvement activities

We are looking for a CNC Turning Machinist who has:

• Strong knowledge of tooling and cutting conditions
• The ability to use a range of measuring equipment confidently
• A good understanding of CNC programming principles
• A proactive and team-oriented attitude
• A focus on quality, safety, and maintaining a clean work area
• A willingness to engage in continuous improvement initiatives

• Basic hourly rate: £19.44  (x1.5 shift allowance) 
• 39-hour working week
• Shifts: 2 week rotation 
• Days - Mon - Thurs and Fri Nights - Mon – Weds 16:00 – 02:20 & Thurs 16:00 – 01:20 ( x1.5 premium applies for nights)
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (195 hours total)
