Position Engineer

Location Leicester

The Client

The client is an excellent firm to work for and is generally considered to be one of the UK's leading developers. They have won numerous awards and have a great reputation in the industry for training and staff development.

This Senior Engineer position is based in their Leicester office covering projects in Leicestershire and the East Midlands. The role is based in the office 4 days a week with 1 day WFH. The projects will be new build residential developments with the sizes ranging from 80-800 units per site.

The Role

The Engineer position sits within the technical team reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will be tasked with the management of a number of developments including the expectation to prepare all relevant engineering information to a high degree of accuracy and to deliver on time.

Duties

* Co-ordinate & Control the engineering information between the various consultants and internal departments

* Review the engineering drawings & documentation checking for accuracy, buildability & commercial suitability

* Ensure technical approvals are received for section 38 & section 104 agreements

* Liaise with the consultants to ensure all deadlines are met.

* Attend site visits & meetings to resolve any problems that arise during the construction process

* Attend design meetings with highways & drainage departments to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments

* Secure statutory body approval of Engineering Design & Ground Remediation

* Provide engineering & technical support to the site teams

Candidate Requirements

* Experience working as an Engineer or Assistant Engineer for a residential developer is desired

* Would also consider candidates with experience in a consultancy role

* Previous AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential

* Minimum qualification is an HNC/HND in a Construction / Engineering subject
