About the Role

As an English Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to post-16 learners. You will create an inclusive learning environment that motivates students and supports their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective and accessible Maths lessons (GCSE and Functional Skills)
• Support learners aged 16+ in developing essential numeracy skills
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support
• Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment practices

Requirements

- A recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 5 or equivalent)- A degree in mathematics, or a related subject- Experience teaching maths (GCSE and/or Functional Skills) in further education or secondary settings- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- A commitment to inclusive teaching and continuous professional development
