Move On & Resettlement Officer
We are seeking an experienced housing professional to support households in temporary accommodation to secure sustainable, longer-term housing - primarily within the Private Rented Sector.
The Role
You will manage a caseload of households, helping them overcome barriers to move-on and secure suitable accommodation in line with statutory homelessness duties.
Key duties include:
Negotiating with landlords and agents to secure PRS accommodation
Providing tenancy readiness and affordability advice
Supporting access to employment and relevant support services
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring legislative compliance
About You
You will have experience working with vulnerable households, strong knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, and proven ability to secure Private Rented Sector properties to discharge duty.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, alongside the ability to manage a varied caseload, are essential.
