Wise Employment are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Technician for an established and successful food manufacturing company based in Callington, Cornwall.

This is an on-site based permanent role working Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm. This role also includes a Competitive salary plus an excellent bonus packagesuch as;

Role Requirements:

This role will see you carrying out audits, risk assessments and assisting with incident investigations and inspections.

You will be required to identify opportunities for improvement following any incident investigations. You will need to collate monthly performance and statistical information and identify any trends in performance.

This role will also see you assisting in the coaching and training of managers and team leaders so they understand their responsibilities for H&S and how to carry out their duties effectively surrounding this.

Experience and skills required for a Health & Safety Technician:

• Either possess or working towards NEBOSH certificate or equivalent (EQF Level 4)
• 1 – 2 years’ safety experience within manufacturing or warehouse & distribution environments
• Preferably experience within food manufacturing
• Strong IT literacy and be able to produce reports and manipulate data
• Experience of working with MS Software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• A working knowledge of risk assessments, implementing safety management systems and investigations
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role
