Manufacturing Technician
Permanent Contract | 39 Hours per Week | 2-Shift Rotation (AM/PM)
Monday to Friday | Up to £47K DOE

Are you a skilled Manufacturing Technician? Ready to play a critical role in a fast-paced environment?

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve plant machinery and equipment. You will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on assembly line performance and maintenance procedures with your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Maintain plant and machinery through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), addressing electrical and mechanical issues.

*

Troubleshoot and repair machinery to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

*

Proactively schedule maintenance tasks, focusing on line performance and minimising disruptions.

*

Work under pressure, managing urgent repairs and routine maintenance effectively.

*

Apply lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, AM & PM.

*

Ensure effective communication with the team to stay aligned on tasks.

What We're Looking For:

*

Level 3 Engineering or Maintenance qualification.

*

Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and experience in a fast-paced environment.

*

Proven experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

*

Ability to respond to urgent issues while executing preventative maintenance and future improvements.

*

A proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

*

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, TPM).

*

Computer literate with experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

*

General Maintenance Apprenticeship (Essential).

*

Experience in the automotive industry (Desirable).

*

CAD experience (Desirable).

*

IPAF Certification (Desirable).

*

Welding skills (Arc/MIG) (Desirable).

*

Ability to read engineering drawings (Essential).

*

Experience with programming and PLC systems (Desirable).

*

17th Edition electrical qualification (Desirable).
