Why This Role Matters

Do you want a career where every day counts? As a Therapeutic Support Practitioner, you'll provide life-changing support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural challenges. Using a trauma-informed approach (PACE model), you'll help them feel safe, valued, and ready to thrive.

What You'll Do

* Be a positive role model and advocate for well-being.

* Maintain accurate records and incident reports.

* Work collaboratively with families and professionals.

* Carry out household tasks and safety checks.

* Apply safeguarding principles at all times.

About the Home

You'll be working in a 6-bed residential home for children and young people aged 10 to 17 with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). Some of the children are non-verbal, so you'll play a key role in supporting communication and building trust. This is a warm, family-style environment where every day brings opportunities to make a real difference.

* Resilient, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.

* Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

* Experience in residential childcare or similar (desirable).

* Full UK driving license (desirable).

* Fully funded Level 3, 4, or 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

* Specialist training, including Makaton communication skills.

* Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
