We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their products on time.

Responsibilities

* Conduct pre-trip inspections of Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

* Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while adhering to traffic regulations.

* Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are safely transported.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.

Skills

* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.

* Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.

* Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.

* A valid commercial driving licence is essential; additional certifications are advantageous.
