Interim Finance Business Partner - Immediate requirement 

Nottingham - 3 days WFH / 1 day Office

Immediate post 30 hours per week / 4 days / attractive daily rate 

Reed, Accountancy and Finance Nottingham are looking for an Interim Finance Business Partner, to manage allocated areas of financial responsibility for our client, ensuring compliance with professional, local, and national standards. As part of your role, you will be required to provide professional business advice to managers and staff across our client to enable efficient service delivery to the public and other stakeholders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on local and national issues and legislative changes, analysing and reporting their impact to the Senior Finance Business Partner.
  • Serve as a specialist adviser for areas such as Treasury Management, Capital, and Collection Fund.
  • Provide financial support, advice, and analysis for allocated areas and specified projects.
  • Assist in delivering accounting services alongside other accounting roles.
  • Undertake tasks in line with budget and closedown timetables, including completing accounting tasks and producing notes and statements as needed.
  • Ensure accurate budget forecasts are produced by departments, proactively identifying and supporting corrective actions.
  • Promote the development of business and financial skills, ensuring the transfer of technical knowledge to peers and others.
  • Support service areas in adopting a more commercial approach and developing business cases for alternative delivery models.
  • Promote proper financial management across our client, ensuring compliance with relevant professional and statutory codes.
  • Deliver finance and business-related training to staff.
  • Identify and progress opportunities to improve financial systems and procedures.
  • Attend and provide financial and business advice to Management Teams, Boards, and other bodies as required.
  • Ensure all statutory and non-statutory returns, including grant claims and tax returns, are accurately completed and submitted by the deadline.
  • Produce reports, briefing papers, and other documents as required.
  • Allocate duties to Finance Technicians/Trainee Finance Officers to support the finance function
