Role Summary

Here at Seashell Trust we provide care and education for children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment and communication disorders and autism.

• We are recruiting for talented Residential Support Workers for our children’s and young adults’ homes
• Experience working in a care setting supporting people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments or in a mental health setting is required for the positions at this time
• These active roles will involve providing daily care and support for our children and young people including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities
• Some challenging behaviours may present, so candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment.
• These roles will work in our fantastic, state of the art 2 and 4 bedroom homes at our single site in Cheadle Hulme near Manchester airport, and will support our children and young adults (3 - 25 years old).
• These are full time permanent roles (part time hours also available)
• Level 3 Health Social Care/Residential Childcare preferred but not essential

The hours

• Flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours per week)
• The roles operate on a rotating shift pattern
• The roles will work every other weekend
• We also have part time hours for evenings and these roles will also involve working every other weekend (21 hours per week minimum)
