Field Service Engineer (Robotics and Mechatronics)

The Company

A leading and highly respected manufacturer of robotic packaging machines, specialising in high-speed packaging applications for the food, confectionery, pharma and cosmetics industry.

As the company grows its UK footprint, it is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the team and support its commitment to excellence in customer service.

Reporting to the Head of Technical Service you will have a background in electrical engineering and be skilled at working under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.

This is a UK wide role and you should anticipate overnight stays, ideally the succesful candidate will be midlands based.

Responsibilities

* Act as an expert in electrical engineering & control systems for new and existing customers.

* Lead troubleshooting and corrective action planning for the company's equipment within customer sites.

* Work collaboratively with customer contacts to build strong and proactive customer relationships.

* Engage with customer-based operatives and maintenance staff to lead training and development programmes.

* Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the company to ensure customer satisfaction.

* Champion the company's commitment to excellence in customer service throughout the customer journey.

* Act as a company ambassador, internally and externally, consistently living and breathing the culture and values.

Requirements

* Higher qualification (HND or above) in engineering.

* Background and experience in mechatronics or electronics.

* Knowledge of robotics is desirable not essential

* Proven experience and success in troubleshooting and problem solving.

* Strong credentials in successfully engaging customer stakeholders.

* A strong and committed performer whether working independently or as part of a team.

* Self-motivated, clear communicator with a passion for building long-lasting customer relationships.

* Ability to travel across the UK and Ireland for on-site servicing and installations including overnight stays where necessary.
