About Us:  Our Design Technology department plays a crucial role in shaping their practical skills and problem-solving abilities. We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our DT faculty.

Role Overview: As the Head of Design Technology, you will lead a team of dedicated teachers, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing a vision and strategy for the DT department.
• Inspiring students to love the subject and excel in design/engineering.
• Monitoring and evaluating teaching practices throughout the school.
• Preparing students for scholarships and future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong, positive, and dynamic leadership for the DT faculty.
• Implement a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum.
• Foster a learning experience that allows students to achieve their potential.
• Contribute to raising student attainment.
• Utilize data to inform planning and target setting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Relevant degree in Design Technology or related field.
• Experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
• Passion for inspiring students in design and engineering.
