HLTA - Havering - Immediate Start

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Havering on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
Delivering pre-planned lessons and leading whole class sessions when required
Working closely with class teachers to plan and prepare engaging learning activities
Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom

Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour
Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding
Provide additional support to the teachers in the classrooms
Establish positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered

What We're Looking For:

HLTA status or equivalent experience
Previous experience working within a primary school setting
Strong classroom management skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

Patience, empathy, and adaptability
A commitment to inclusion and the values of the school
