About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in the Leeds Area. As a support worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and assistance to children and adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities.

Rate: GBP 12.40 / hour

Hours: Dependent on the client

Reed Community Care is committed to its clients and staff to provide the highest possible level of care and support. You will be backed by a dedicated team of care professionals at all times and will have access to free training and 24/7 on call service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Commit to your shifts and ensure continuity of care year-round.
  • Follow the care plan, be punctual and responsive.
  • Supporting individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assisting with personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to address challenging behaviours.
  • Building positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Availability: Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. MUST be able to commit to an assignment for continuity of Care.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children and adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Care.
  • At least 6 months UK care experience & Right to work in the UK.
  • Reed is currently unable to provide sponsorships for Skilled Worker Visas.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate for working with Adults and Childrenregistered on the Update Service – Should you need to apply for a new DBS we can support you with this.
  • An up-to-date CV with the past 10 years of employment history.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy and understanding approach.
  • Driving License: Advantageous but not required.
