Learning Support Assistant
Teaching Personnel have been contacted by an Ofsted rated 'good' school for an LSA (Learning support assistant) to join the support staff at the beginning of the 2021 academic year.
The SENCO has expressed the requirement for an LSA as a result of a substantial increase in the number of students falling behind target grades across core subjects. The successful candidate will join a friendly, welcoming support team, working directly under the SENCO to provide additional assistance in the form of in-class mentorship as well as out of lesson 1:1 and small group sessions.
We are looking for a passionate individual who will be able to create positive relationships with students. You will need to have experience working with young people, preferably in a classroom environment although those with experience in private tuition, youth work or sports coaching are also favourable. Any experience working directly with SEN children would also be beneficial, but not essential.
- Pay between £1200-£1350 per month, depending on experience
- Permanent position in a large South Manchester secondary school, starting September 2021
- Excellent training provided by the school and Teaching Personnel's CPD academy
The school is a large Ofsted rated 'good' secondary school located near the Gorton/ Rusholme area just off the A6 motorway. The school has excellent public transport links and on-site parking. Recent investments in facilities have seen the school have dramatic improvements in core subject GCSE results over the last few years.
Any successful applicant would be subject to DBS and Right to work UK checks so relevant documents will be requested.
