Job Opportunity: Trainee Home Manager - Children's Residential - Preston

We are recruiting a dedicated Trainee Manager for a Children's Residential Service with a reputable Children's Residential Provider in South Ribble, Preston. This full-time, permanent position offers a developmental pathway to becoming a Registered Manager, with a competitive salary of £40,000.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into a leadership role with comprehensive support. There are various locations across the provider so they can look at accommodating in a location to your preference.

Key Details:

* Location: South Ribble, Preston

* Home: Residential facility supporting young people with emotional and challenging behaviours

* Salary: £40,000

* Hours: 37.5 hours per week

* Annual Leave: 22 days + 8 bank holidays (increases by 1 day per year of service, up to 5 years)

* Career Path: Training and development to progress to Registered Manager

Essential Requirements:

* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People (or equivalent); NVQ Level 4 in Management (or working towards); GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)

* Experience: Significant experience in a children's residential setting, including managing staff to deliver high-quality care and effectively handling budgets

* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team motivation abilities

* Commitment: Passion for safeguarding, improving young people's lives, and upholding Ofsted standards

* Other: Full driving licence, willingness to use own vehicle, and availability for occasional out-of-hours work and on-call duties

Role Overview:
Lead a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care in a nurturing, inclusive environment for young people. Ensure Ofsted compliance, develop care plans, manage budgets and staffing, and promote safeguarding and diversity. Act as the primary contact for external agencies and foster an open culture where young people's voices are heard.
