Hourly Pay Rate: Band 4 (£10.29 to £11.94 depending on experience)

Contract Length: 3 Months

Grafton Recruitment, are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Procurement Analyst for our client based in Sheffield. The post holder will provide advice to Operations Directors,Service Managers, Budget Holders and Group Accountants.

Duties of the Post Holder

To analyse expenditure data and identify areas of opportunity which may result in cash releasing savings.
To develop and maintain databases to support commercial performance and regulatory compliance.
To produce routine and adhoc reports to inform Procurement activity.
To maintain the Trusts Procurement catalogues leading on changes, updates and housekeeping.
To support the Procurement Analyst with the processing of complex financial and statistical data to produce user-friendly reports about the cost and usage of goods and services. This will be performed by interrogating the Trust I.T. systems using appropriate software tools and liaising with external parties to collect other relevant data.
To support the Procurement Analysts (PA) in producing Savings Reports.
This role is also a training position and the post holder will be expected to reach intermediate/advanced level on excel, process mapping, nationwide tools on trust expenditure and tender management software.
The post holder will also be required to undertake formal study once in post. This will be based on the development of the post and the requirements of the department.
The post holder will provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Trust spend for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
Actively contribute to the Procurement Efficiency Managers Team agenda and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Duties of the Department

To provide procurement and supply chain services to a broad range of departments.
To deliver measurable savings from revenue expenditure to support STH Productivity and Efficiency Programme
To develop internal supply chain processes for the benefit of other departments. Essential

Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) including English & Maths grade C or above.
A-levels or equivalent standard
Experience of interpreting analytical data part of responsibilities
Competent and confident in the use of IT packages, in particular Microsoft Windows - including Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to work with figures and demonstrate numeracy
MS Excel at intermediate level
Ability to validate data and produce accurate statistical reports
