Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Immediate or January Start

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs?

A welcoming specialist setting in the Cranborne area is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their committed team.

This role offers the chance to make a real difference to pupils aged 11 to 18, working across both primary-style and secondary-style classes within a nurturing, inclusive environment.

This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including: Autism Spectrum Conditions, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Communication and interaction difficulties and Mild to moderate learning needs.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, patient and proactive Teaching Assistants to support students in their academic, social and emotional development.

Supporting students aged 11 to 18 within small class settings

Assisting with learning activities, communication support and emotional regulation

Providing 1:1 and small-group intervention

Helping create an engaging, safe and positive learning environment

Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday

Hourly rate: £13.75

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 6 months of childcare experience, ideally supporting children or young people with SEN

A genuine passion for helping pupils with additional needs

A calm, resilient and adaptable approach

Reliability, commitment and strong communication skills

A driving licence, due to the location of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
