About the Role

Talented People are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Project Controls Manager to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project based at Havant Thicket Reservoir. This role is central to performance monitoring, reporting, risk management and strategic decision-making across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), KPIs and dashboards.

* Provide integration between design, cost control, planning, estimating and delivery teams.

* Produce accurate monthly reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.

* Support project reviews and senior leadership meetings with clear performance insight.

* Structure and manage changes to contract scope in line with project requirements.

* Support project risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring.

* Maintain and update project schedules alongside Project Planners.

* Act as a link between project management and site execution teams.

* Challenge performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities.

* Assist with collaboration deliverables and document control updates.

* Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

* Strong understanding of scheduling, cost forecasting and senior reporting.

* Experience working on Design & Build construction projects.

* Exposure to NEC contracts and formal change management processes.

* Experience on large or complex infrastructure projects (advantageous).

* Joint venture project experience (desirable).

* Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technology & Systems

* Advanced Excel skills, including queries and data analysis.

* Experience with Power BI and dashboard reporting.

* Familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM environments.

* Confident using document management and information systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance or similar.

* CSCS Manager or Academically Qualified card (essential).

* Full UK driving licence (essential).

* Able to work autonomously and provide technical guidance to others
