Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is to provide resident satisfaction through maintaining the physical state of the exterior and interior of the property. These maintenance functions include: maintaining and repairing the HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, structural elements, and equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician delivers exceptional customer service including respect for vendors and contractors.

Essential Job Functions

-Communicating politely and professionally at all times with residents, vendors and co-workers

-Assist in the daily cleanliness of community including grounds, pool, and snow removal

-Effectively diagnosing and fixing all HVAC units, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, drywall, and painting

-Prepare vacant apartments to be in market-ready condition

-Coordinate daily activities by giving progress updates; communicate frequently with management staff on daily activities

-Maintain all tools, equipment and replacement parts in working condition.

-Other duties as assigned

-Provide emergency resident support after office hours.

-Able to work overtime and rotating the emergency on-call phone.

Requirements and Experience qualifications

-High school diploma or GED is required

-A minimum of 3 year experience in general maintenance

-HVAC Certification (Preferred)

-Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds

-Ability to be on-call for emergencies

-A valid driver’s license

-Must have a reliable vehicle.

-All members of the maintenance team are required to provide basic hand tools.

-Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
