Production Operator (Temp)

• Annual Salary: £12.21 - £13p/h

• Job Type: Long-term temporary (ongoing), with potential for extension

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team at a dynamic facility in Didcot. This role involves working on the packing line, performing basic inspections, and ensuring the smooth operation of production processes. The position is ideal for someone who values reliability, has a keen eye for detail, and is comfortable following standard operating procedures.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Operate and assist with packing machines, ensuring efficient production flow.
• Conduct visual checks of products to meet Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) standards.
• Perform basic line changeovers and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S housekeeping standards.
• Record production outputs and downtime accurately, contributing to shift reports.
• Follow all quality assurance instructions meticulously and escalate any issues promptly to maintain product standards.
• Participate in on-the-job training to understand and meet daily production targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated reliability in attendance and commitment to work schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with precision.
• Comfortable with following standard operating procedures and standard work instructions.
• Capable of following quality assurance guidelines and escalating issues efficiently.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or packaging is advantageous but not essential.
• Basic data entry skills for recording shift outputs.
