Press Brake Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role working with a variety of materials to produce high-quality components, supporting production targets and maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.

The Role

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of press brake machinery, producing components to specification while ensuring all work meets strict quality and inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operate press brake machinery to manufacture components and assemblies

*

Set machines to pre-determined parameters and specifications

*

Work with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and others as required

*

Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production

*

Carry out material handling, including unpacking and repacking of parts

*

Pack and kit components ready for downstream processes

*

Use overhead crane equipment safely and effectively

*

Ensure all work meets required inspection and quality standards

*

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

*

Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times

*

Complete relevant documentation such as route cards and process trackers

*

Support continuous improvement and minimise defects and waste

About You

*

Proven experience operating a press brake machine

*

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

*

Overhead crane certification (essential)

*

FLT licence (desirable)

*

Familiarity with manufacturing documentation (route cards, travellers, etc.)

*

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

*

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

*

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

*

Own transport preferred
