Health and Safety Manager

Here at Solutions30 we provide innovative technology solutions across the telecoms and energy sectors within the UK, and across Europe. Due to continued growth within our Fibre Department, we are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team working with our field teams across London. The Health and Safety Manager will primarily support the Head of QHSE by ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained through proactive engagement with subcontractors and permanent staff within the business. The Health and Safety Manager will ensure appropriate training, documentation and certifications are maintained and tracked accurately to help meet and exceed client requirements in documentation and execution of works.

The Health and Safety Manager will also be responsible for:

Ensuring changes to regulatory, legal and/or best practice guidelines are identified, communicated, and implemented across the business to ensure compliance with latest HSE and ISO requirements.
Maintain quality, environmental, safety and security standards within deployed resource to manage compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Put in place an appropriate training record of deployed resource to meet client requirements.
Resolve issues within client account to protect the company reputation and ensure client requirements are met.
Manage and foster relationships with key stakeholders to quality, safety, and contract renewal.
Identifying solutions to offer clients to extend our existing services or improve the quality of current services and recommending these to appropriate Heads of Services
Representing Solutions30 at periodic contract and operational review meetings as required and chair safety forums across the Fibre business.
Assist subcontract issue and renewal process to ensure subcontract staff are correctly engaged, contract documentation is accurate and recorded and join operational reviews sharing findings and actions.
Assist in investigating non-compliance through inspection and audit, project work, and accident and near-miss investigation.
Reviewing and signing off Risk Assessments & Method Statements from delivery teams.

We would welcome applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:

At least 3-5 years Telecoms Health and Safety experience, specially from a Utilities or Fibre background.
Solid understanding of Civils works and the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental concerns surrounding civils works & infrastructure projects.
Experience interacting with local authorities with an ability to engage with navigate the demands of local regulatory bodies.
Strong understanding of NWSRA principles.
NEBOSH General Certificate or similar level qualifications within health and safety.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and problem solve effectively.
Have a logical and orderly approach to analysing problems, organizing work and planning actions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
