Freelance Senior Project Manager - Transportation / Highways

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Project Manager to join our P3M Complex Projects team, delivering high-profile transportation and highways projects. This role offers the chance to lead challenging projects while applying your NEC3/NEC4 expertise, with flexible hybrid working and reimbursed expenses.
Key Responsibilities

Manage complex highways and transportation projects from initiation to completion.

Apply NEC3 and NEC4 project management principles across the full project lifecycle.

Advise clients on cost, programme, risks, and issues.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Manage stakeholder communications, including clients, contractors, and partners.

Produce regular reporting, including project programmes, risk registers, and progress updates.

Develop and implement delivery plans, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements

3-7 years' experience managing complex transportation/highways projects.

NEC3 and NEC4 accredited or equivalent project management experience.

Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Based in or able to work from the North West.

Must operate Inside IR35.

Available for a minimum 6-month contract.
