Communication Support Worker (BSL Level 3+) - Part Time / Hourly

Henry Blue are working with an FE College based in Bristol seeking a Communication Support Worker to provide British Sign Language (BSL) support to deaf students for a few hours per week across two campuses. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity with an immediate start, paid on an hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities

Provide BSL communication support to students with EHCPs during lessons and learning activities

*

Support students across different curriculum areas including ESOL and Pathways programmes

*

Assist with communication in classroom settings and during supported internship/work placement activities

Timetable

*

Monday: 09:00-16:15

*

Tuesday: 09:30- 12:45

Requirements

*

Minimum Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL)

*

Experience supporting deaf learners in education or training environments (preferred)

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

*

Ability to work flexibly across campuses

*

An enhanced DBS (registered within 6 months or on the update/ online service)
