Facilities Assistant Salary: £18,000 per Annum + Company Benefits Location: Loughborough Job Type: Permanent About the Company: Our Client is a leading manufacturer, wholesaler and exporter of branded generic medicines and healthcare products worldwide.
They are proud to be a key manufacturer of medicines, supplying to the NHS, retail pharmacy sector and international markets, as well as being the UK’s trusted supplier to Aid agencies and NGOs.
Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable individual for the position of Facilities Assistant within their IT & Facilities Department.
You will be part of a team whose primary role is the purchase of supplies, services and works across the company.
Within the team you will help review and implement streamlined efficient processes, ensuring value for money and delivery of savings, as well as ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities of the Facilities Assistant:
• Carry out a full spectrum of procurement services including PO, reporting, vendor and cost management
• Liaise with internal departments, providing purchasing support on goods and services
• Record and maintain purchase records and supplier records accurately
• Ensure suppliers are compliant with agreements
• Management of relationships with preferred suppliers
• Provide high speed, accurate word processing of letters, reports, briefing notes, minutes, and preparation of materials for presentations using PowerPoint, Word and Excel Requirements of the Facilities Assistant:
• Proficient IT skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & other office automation tools
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise own workloads
• Should be self-motivated, able to multi task and maintain positive working attitude
• Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation and with external contact
• Worked in an GP Environment
• Purchasing/Project management skills and experience within Pharmaceuticals Industry
• Experience in drafting tender documentation
